Fairweld MIG/MAG/ CO2 Wire is a Copper coated, Manganese and Silicon alloyed solid welding wire for the gas shielded metal arc welding [GMAW] of non-alloyed steels conforming to AWS A5.18M ER70S-6 standards.

It is used in general construction, automotive components, railway wagons and pressure vessel fabrication. The weld deposit is of very low diffusible hydrogen content and of excellent radiographic quality. The wire is approved by Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO) to conform to IRS M:46/13 Class I standards, BHEL-Tiruchy to conform to AWS A5.18M ER70S-6 standards, IS 6419 : 2010, Tata Motors Limited and Gun Carriage Factory, Jabalpur.

Fairweld MIG/MAG welding wire is treated with a unique conditioning methodology that results in a very smooth surface of the wire taking MAG welding operations to new levels of performance and all-round efficiency, especially in robotic and automatic welding. Characteristic features include excellent start properties; trouble-free feeding at high wire speeds and lengthy feed distances; a very stable arc at high welding currents; extremely low levels of spatter; low fume emission; reduced contact tip wear and improved protection against corrosion of the wire.
